Nelm's Bachelor Party Fishing Charter in Gulf Shores, AlabamaBachelor Party Fishing in Gulf Shores

Bryan Nelms booked this bachelor party fishing charter for a group of life long friends.  Bryan brought his friends together from all over Mississippi to come and enjoy a light tackle fishing charter.  Breck is getting married on May 24th, just one day after he graduates from Medical School.  We called Breck "Doc."   Brett, Cade and Ben also came along to enjoy the fishing.

We started out of Perdido Pass this morning and we headed south.  It did not take long before we hooked up our first trolling fish.  It was a nice King Mackerel.  Bryan enjoyed fighting the first fish of the day.  We ended up catch 4 kings on this charter.

Brett's Spanish MackerelWe also caught a nice Spanish Mackerel.  Spanish are the smaller cousins of the King Mackerel but have yellowish spots along their sides.  They also have a black tip on their dorsal fin.  It looks like someone turned them over and dipped thier fin in black paint.

We caught plenty of Red Snapper but had to release them.  We also caught three Mangrove Snappers that we kept to eat.

When reeling up a big snapper, we noticed a large Cobia came to the surface and waslight tackle cobia fight swimming around the boat.  Lem gave Bryan a pin fish to fish with.  It did not take long before Bryan was hooked up.  The monster Cobia was hooked up on light tackle.  This fish pulled hard for about 30 minutes.  Bryan was careful not to horse this fish.  When this big fish took drag, Bryan held on and let it go.   We finally got the Cobia to the top and put her in the boat.

Today was great.  We look forward to growing our business with each of these young men's families for years to come.
