Commander Mike Bass and son Steven came down from Huntsville and Norfolk, Va. to enjoy a cold morning of Bull Redfish fishing charters just south of Orange Beach, Alabama.
The weather was great but the temperatures were a cold 41 degrees. The water was steaming all morning until the sun came out and warmed the frigid air.
We started trolling just after 8 am and worked our way down to the east. It did not take long until we had our first Bull Redfish hooked up and the fight was on. It was a nice 18 pounder. We stayed in the area for a few more passes and did not get another bite. We moved east, into Florida waters where we came up on a muddy area where the bait was popping the surface. We trolled around and picked up a half dozen of these nice Redfish. The largest was 28 pounds and gave a great fight.
