Deep sea fishing in Gulf Shores is absolutely wonderful. Today we had Red Snappers swimming on the surface. Lyn said it was like a gold fish pond. The water was clear and the waves were calm for this group from Montgomery, Alabama.
We went way offshore today to see how the fish were going to bite. We were surprised that we had 8 to 10 lb Red Snappers swimming all around the charter boat. The wind was from the South, Southeast and the gentle ocean breeze was calming. We caught plenty of fish but only wanted to keep a couple for supper. The light tackle we use makes deep sea fishing in Orange Beach wonderful. Everyone had their turn to catch some really nice sized fish. Our largest was a shark and he gave us a great fight. The reef fish like Red Snapper were extremely hungry today. I am glad we had anglers that enjoy the thrill of fighting fish.
