One of the best things about being in the charter fishing business is being able to serve our men in blue. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing law enforcement officers come together and use the time doing what we call team building. Just like the corporate world, police officers have to be very close knit. The best way to get together and build that team is through deep sea fishing.
Zach called me a couple of times trying to get this police officer charter set up. It was important because everyone on this shift depend heavily on each other while on the job. It was important to Zach to share his love for deep sea fishing with his friends who some of them have never been before. Zach brought Sargent Chris, Jody, John and rookie Chris with him.
We headed out for an afternoon of deep sea fishing. We started trolling and it did not take long before we were fighting a nice King Mackerel. We continued offshore where we caught another king.
We started bottom fishing and we caught some really nice Red Snapper. Everyone loved using our light tackle fishing gear to fight these reef fish. A wild dolphin showed up and gave us a good show before we left the area. It is important to try and maintain a safe distance from dolphins. They sure do make for a good photo.
