Sidney Wells is a long time guest and friend from Montgomery, Alabama. Sidney brings his sons, Max and Alex with him every year to watch them catch some nice fish. Warren, Kenneth and Austin also come to make sure their cousins don't have all the fun by themselves.
Today was a great day. We headed out at 6:30 am and went straight to an artificial reef where I thought the Amberjack would be biting better. Getting there early in the morning would prove to be a good plan. We got to the reef and Sidney dropped a live bait down and it did not take long before he was hooked up with a nice Amberjack. We caught several jacks but they were too short. That new 30" rule is making a difference. We released several Amberjack that would have been legal under last years rules.
We kept fishing and the boys, Max, Alex and Austin caught their share of Red Snapper and King Mackerel. The Bonita would even try to bite.
This is the fifth year we have had the pleasure of fishing with the Wells family. These boys have grown up and are now 11 and 12 years of age. We look forward to sharing many more memories with these young men.
