Orange Beach, Gulf Shores Seafood Restaurants! |
Geno's Fresh Catch Grill and Seafood Restaurant I eat at Geno's almost daily. Geno's is located in the strip mall in front of Zekes Landing Marina on Hwy 182 (beach road). This is the only restaurant I know of that offers great sushi and fresh fish. Food presentation is excellent. Scenery ok. Atmosphere is good. Food quality is superior than other restaurants in the area. Wait staff is on top of it and is very good. Food price at night is about $30 per entree is common, but so is the quality. Wine selection is also very good. It's really neat to be able to see the Chef's prepare your food in front of you. 4 stars.
Cosmos Seafood Restaurant Is Kind of a hidden retreat off Canal Rd in Orange Beach. Atmosphere is good. There is no view. food quality is great. 4 stars.
The Original Oyster House Gulf Shores This oyster house is a local seafood favorite in Gulf Shores. It offers a good seafood selection and fresh raw oysters and other local favorites. The location is good and has some nice retail shops. 701 Hwy 59, Bayou Village , Gulf Shores. Phone: (251) 948-2445 4 stars.

Orange Beach Fresh Seafood, Shrimp, Oysters, Fish! |
Fresh Seafood, Shrimp, Tuna, Red Snapper, Grouper, Crabs, Wines & Sushi Customers ask me all the time, "Where can we get some fresh seafood or shrimp to take home." The only place I know that has fresh seafood on a daily basis is Joe Pattis in Pensacola. It is worth the drive. They do so much volume, you are always insured of getting fresh seafood. It takes 30 minutes to get there from Orange Beach. It is located right on the wharf in Pensacola. Its a straight shot with only one turn. If you want only a pound of shrimp, I would say go to Blalocks or Winn Dixie. If you want 10 pounds or more, its worth the drive. You will pay half the price people in Orange Beach charge. You will also like the view and see a real seafood fish house. They have one heck of a wine store and a fresh deli.

The Wharf Back Bay Inshore Fishing Charters
The Wharf has done a good job promoting inshore fishing in Orange Beach. The cool thing is these inshore boats can fish in Mobile Bay or come all the way around to Perdido Pass where 99% of all the other inshore captains fish in Orange Beach. I do not know what caliber these captains are and I don't even know if they catch fish. I do know they look like they can. Call them and get a fishing report and ask to see come recent pictures of catches. I would do that with any reputable charter I went fishing with. If they do not have or offer current fishing reports, I would be cautious. Pictures say a thousand words.

Orange Beach Airline Flights and Airports! |
Mobile Regional Airport in Mobile is over a 1 1/2 hour drive and is not my preferred airport. You would be better off flying into Pensacola. Warning. do not take a cab unless you negotiate a one way fare up front. I have had customers that were reamed out and had to pay $200 for a simple cab ride. Consider renting a car.
Pensacola Regional Airport in Pensacola, Fl is closer and is almost a strait shot to Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. Again. do not take a cab without negotiating a flat rate.
